Masks Remain Mandatory As Lockdown Restrictions Lift In Melbourne

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA - JUNE 11: A pedestrian wearing a mask is seen walking along St Kilda Road as a tram goes past on June 11, 2021 in Melbourne, Australia. Melbourne's lockdown measures were lifted as of 12:01 on Friday, although some COVID-19 restrictions remain in place as Victoria continues to record new coronavirus cases. Masks remain mandatory outdoors, while the five reasons to leave home will no longer apply. Melbourne residents will still be subject to a 25km travel limit from their homes and are not permitted to travel to regional areas. Visitors are still not permitted in homes but outdoor gatherings are allowed for up to 10 people while hospitality and retail are permitted to reopen subject to density limits.
