Lockdown Lifts In Melbourne As Victoria Reaches 70% Vaccination Milestone

Lockdown restrictions have lifted in Melbourne after Victoria achieved its target of having 70 per cent of the eligible population fully vaccinated against COVID-19. As of midnight, the curfew for residents in metropolitan Melbourne no longer apply, along with travel limits within the city (although travel to regional Victoria is still not be permitted). The six reasons to leave home no longer apply and home visits with restrictions are allowed. Hospitality can reopen, along with outdoor entertainment and recreation facilities but only to fully vaccinated patrons.
